Here’s how to navigate through the site and use the features available!
While we do have 3 different memberships, each offering slightly different aspects, they are very similar when it comes to using the site.

Now that your “Welcome” emails have been handled, you will find yourself back on the sites’ homepage. Looking at the top left, you will discover the Menu icon. The Profile section can be located at the top right. You can login to access your account from either menu, or by clicking the Login Button in the centre of the page.
Profile Menu – Edit your information, upload your profile photos, change your account type and payment details. You may also access your Dashboard (discussed in later paragraph) or log out of your account.
Main Menu – From the Menu section, you will see the various headings that once selected, allow the reader to navigate through and read each headline in detail.
A Little More Detail:
Having logged into your account, you will be able to access your Dashboard from within the Main Menu. Here, you will be able to create or edit Job Posts, (Looking To Hire - Looking To Be Hired, or Looking to Renovate). Contractor members can “Create” and Reply to Job and Looking To Renovate posts – Labourer members can Create and Reply to “Available For Hire” Posts – Homeowners can Create “Looking to Renovate” Posts. Choose the correct Heading when posting. Homeowners will be "Looking for a Professional" - Labourers are "Looking to be Hired" and Contractors "Looking to Hire"
Within your Dashboard you will be able to upload your personal or your crews profile photos or job related pictures of site work. You will be able to upload only one Profile Picture but you can upload as many other photos as you like. Simply choose your photo and upload them one at a time.
Users will be able to view in detail, any responses they receive, including the senders contact information. By clicking on the responders name, you will be able to view a short summary of their credentials & specialties. Once a job post has been accepted by a "Responder" that post will disappear from the listings on the main page. In the event the job post is not accepted by a responder it will simply remain on the list until it has been accepted by another responder. Once a responder has declined a particular job offer, they will be unable to accept the offer in future. Your Dashboard provides the ability to either delete a response, or hire and rate your chosen candidate. Remember, the Senders Dashboard provides them the same opportunity to rate you! For the Homeowner, photos of renovation ideas or project requirements can be uploaded for display. For those long time or frequent users, you may refer back through your dashboard history as a reference or simply a record of interaction within the site.
User/Member Interaction
The Contractors Site has been created as an interactive tool. Its’ purpose is to provide a platform where Contractors, Labourers, Homeowners and Suppliers can discover and connect with each other. Through these connections, The Contractors Site hopes that Every user will experience the benefits of being able to easily and quickly connect with another member who will either provide an employment opportunity, solve an employment shortfall, relieve the potential stress and negativity associated when agreeing to co-operate with an unknown counterpart AND both discover and learn about quality products and Suppliers within our industry!
Please Note!: Your Dashboard is a key component of the sites’ function and purpose! Each user has a specific identity and will conduct all activity through the Dashboard of the site. A system is provided for members to rate each other. Rating is voluntary and as a result, all members can develop a history, whether Employer or Employee, Contractor, Labourer etc. This history generates a level of Accountability and Reputation for each member. Unlike the many free job posting sites available, The Contractors Site is dedicated to host “THE” platform for those who are interested in maintaining Professionalism and Integrity in our industry.
